Hidden Door 2023 will take place over five consecutive days, running from 31st May - 4th June, takingover and radically transforming one of Edinburgh's most iconic 20th Century architectural icons, thecurrently-empty former Scottish Widows Headquarters on Dalkeith Road, into a completely new venue:"The Complex"
This year, we will develop our usual format to a much more immersive, coherent experience for our audience,taking around 1000 people each day into the heart of The Complex to discover a series of transformedspaces and performance zones, featuring live music, dance, soundscapes and visions created by our groupsof artists and performers.The journey will start in the eerie artificial commercial environment of the ex-office building itself, beforetaking the audience through mountains, wasteland, forest and gardens down to the deep sea bed and eveninto the depths of the geology of the centre of the earth
