Hidden Door celebrated in The List’s Hot 100 for 2025

We’re delighted to once again feature in The List Hot 100, the annual celebration of the biggest names in Scottish arts and culture.

Revealing the Hot 100 today, The List said: “Hidden Door director Hazel Johnson and her team pulled off the most audacious festival yet at The Paper Factory, making use of a vast space with music, art and aerial acrobatics. This is as wide-ranging as an arts extravaganza can get, championing everything from the best of indie rock to DIY experimentation.”

Hazel said: “I’m absolutely honoured to appear in the Hot 100 alongside some true cultural legends, some of whom have previously featured at Hidden Door.

“For Hidden Door to be included in the Hot 100 again this year is an absolute honour – and a testament to everyone on the team that works tirelessly to make our festivals happen.”

What’s next for Hidden Door?

Over the years, Hidden Door has supported over 3000 artists and performers to develop work and reach new audiences. Our volunteer-run charity is entirely funded through ticket sales, sponsorship and fundraising. All money raised goes into running the festival and ensuring their creative contributors are fairly paid.

Following our critically acclaimed festival at The Paper Factory in June, plans for 2026 are well under way with exciting announcements incoming very soon. Sign up to our newsletter to be the first to know.
