Hidden Door

Call for volunteers to help make Hidden Door 2021 happen

Thank you to over 100 volunteers who have signed up to help with Hidden Door 2021!

Registration is now closed.

Our festivals showcase theatre, cinema, spoken word, visual art, dance and music by local and international artists, and aims to create a platform showcasing the arts to a wide audience.

This year the festival will take place from the 15th – 19th September. We are really excited to take over a brand new space this year, turning the old Granton Gasworks into an explosion of performance, music and art, whilst also transforming a nearby warehouse into an incredible exhibition space.

Here’s where you come in!

Hidden Door Festival is completely volunteer led so we need your help to make it happen. We’re looking for friendly faces to help us with a range of tasks and activities, and make this the most exciting Hidden Door Festival yet.

Whilst we can’t wait to get together for what will be an amazing festival this year, we are having to do things a little differently – we are planning our festival in line with Scottish Government regulations, and are following events guidance closely.

Hidden Door is committed to making sure that our volunteers – and everyone attending the festival – are comfortable and safe. COVID-19 training and procedures will be part of your induction, and all necessary protective equipment will be provided. We are taking this seriously, and know that you will be too. If you would like more information about our COVID-19 measures for the festival, please do get in touch.

We’re looking for self-motivated team members for a range of duties before, during and after the festival such as:
