Interested in writing about art? Discuss the visual art at Hidden Door, share ideas on writing and have your review published on our website.

Visual Art has always been a huge part of the Hidden Door festival, with free access to all of our amazing artworks during the day, and this year we want to invite you to get even more up close and personal with it!

On Saturday afternoon we’ll be running a writing workshop where you’ll have the chance to learn more about the practice of reviewing artworks and the opportunity to discuss some key examples. You will then get to go around the site as a group to talk about the artworks on display, taking notes before creating your own piece of writing, which will be featured on our website.

The event is open to anyone with a keen interest in contemporary visual art and critical writing, and are looking to develop their writing skills in a supportive and discursive environment.
