Roller Disco Death Party are a two-piece electronic duo from Glasgow, Scotland, comprised of the songwriting expertise of Neal McHarg (synths) and the musical prowess of Amelia Boyle (drums). Neal described the band as being ‘inspired by the likes of Soulwax with the live drums tied in with the electronic sounds, The Chemical Brothers with their collaborations and Justice for their big bass sounds’. (Resonate Q&A)

The experience of both Amelia and Neal results in a sonic craftsmanship that shows this is a band that knows exactly what they’re doing.

Amelia Boyle, having experience success with Brontës creating a buzz on the underground scene and getting scooped up by Last Night From Glasgow for their 2022 and future releases, felt that it was right to start a new creative partnership to explore new genres.

The band recently recorded their 4-track EP with Jagz Kooner, revisiting the journey that began years ago with the producer, now with a renewed musical vision and a drive to fill rooms with dancing bodies.

In 2024 Roller Disco Death Party made their live debut by winning the Tenement TV x SWG3 x HOUSES Festival competition this year and their debut release ‘Day By Day’ was used as the theme tune for 9 episodes of the Late Night at the Euros with Compston and Smart show across the BBC that Summer.

The band have gained praise from both Phoebe Inglis-Holmes and Stephanie Cheape on BBC Introducing Scotland for several of their tracks so far alongside strong support from Tenement TV.

Roller Disco Death Party’s live set at Tenement Trail in Glasgow caused such a stir that the venue was quickly at capacity, with a queue formed down the street until the band came off stage. Roller Disco Death Party were also part of the sold-out ‘No A Mean City’ charity show in aid of Refuweegee, along with appearing on the Emerging Artists Stage at Resonate Music Conference.
