Opening night at Hidden Door 2022 welcomes 90s indie-dance pioneers Saint Etienne and Connie Constance to the outdoor stage, with Makeness, Jacuzzi General and Miss Represented on the indoor stage. In the Pianodrome, catch spoken word from Miss Leading and Nichelle Santagata and music from Alas De Liona. In the Basement, music label Hobbes Music presents an evening of banging tunes with Leonidas & Hobbes, Gaming, Nina Stanger, Exterior and Jacksonville. Plus, experience a new creative collaboration between Maranta, Chell Young, VOMITON & Hannah Draper. Soul-pop singer Yellow Days and Bleach Lab get the Outdoor Stage jumping whilst Nuha Ruby Ra, Far Caspian and Blue Bendy take to the Indoor Stage. We’ve got Mike Kearney and Friends plus Natalie Jayne Clark and Nicole Tait in the Pianodrome. Down in the basement, we’ve got Edinburgh radio station EHFM and Sad City, and look out for dance performances from The Yonis and Róisín O’Brien in the Central Camber and OCEANALLOVER popping up throughout the venue. Day 3 at Hidden Door, and modern instrumental group Portico Quartet and Norman Wilmore head up the Outdoor Stage with London electronic group Real Lies plus EFÉ and Noushy 4tet indoors. Alliyah Enyo and Elelei feature in the Central Chamber, with Kavari and Club Sylkie playing tunes down in the Basement. In the Pianodrome, we’ve got a full day of theatre with Dripping Tap Theatre plus Jess Brodie & Victoria Bianchi, spoken word (Esyllt Angharad Lewis and Frances Mary Driscoll, Scott Redmond and Sean Wai Keung) plus an evening of experimental music from improv maestros S!NK as well as the Hebrides Ensemble and Drake Music Scotland. Day 4 at Hidden Door 2022 sees a fully packed 12 hours of entertainment. On the Outdoor stage, we’ve got joyous music collective Tinderbox Orchestra plus Broken Records, Lizabett Russo and Iona Zajac. The Indoors Stage will welcome Scottish hip-hop mainstay Billy Got Waves plus Dinosaur 94, Holy Loaf, Nani, Eloi, Amber Leith and more. In the Pianodrome, we’ll have spoken word from Ale de Luis, Julia Sorensen and Texture, plus theatre from Dripping Tap and Jess Brodie & Victoria Bianchi, culminating in delightful music from Cera Impala and the Half Moon Medicine Show. Meanwhile, the Central Chamber hosts poetry from Jennifer WONG, Jinhao XIE and L. KIEW plus dance from Eowyn Emerald. Spoken word post-punk band Dry Cleaning, Girl Ray and M(h)aol headline the Outdoors stage with electro-punk solo artist Lonelady plus The Bug Club and Future Get Down indoors. Down in the Basement we’ve got women and non-binary DJ collective SISU and SKOOP featuring CRPNTR and Tzusan plus DJs Elsa, Ex.sess, Malissa and Airali. The Pianodrome welcomes theatre from Mystika Glamoor, Noah Tomson & Saskia Longaretti and Sweætshops®, plus spoken word from Gray Crosbie. The Central Chamber hosts music and dance improv from Collective Endeavours, plus an exclusive creative collaboration with Florence Richardson and Luci Holland. Also look out for more performances from dancer Alan Greig and theatre duo SALTYDOLLS, and be sure to explore every corridor to discover visual art from over 30 artists.






Our second weekend at Hidden Door 2022 welcomes alternative folk rock collective This Is The Kit and Dana Gavanski to the Outdoor Stage with six piece alt-rock band The Joy Hotel plus Penelope Isles and Flo Perlin on the Indoor Stage. In the Basement, we’ve got women and non-binary DJ collective SISU playing all day, featuring (((CLEOPATRA))), RUTHLSS, Shauna, She Bang Rave Unit, Little Hats and Sauceress. The Pianodrome brings more theatre from Mystika Glamoor, Noah Tomson & Saskia Longaretti and Sweætshops®, plus spoken word from Imogen Stirling and culminating in a very special Okay Pal Records Showcase. Meanwhile, the Central Chamber hosts music and dance improv from Collective Endeavours, plus an exclusive creative collaboration “Light Gatherer” with Esther Swift and friends. Also look out for more performances from dancer Alan Greig and theatre duo SALTYDOLLS, and be sure to explore every corridor to discover visual art from over 30 artists.






Closing night at Hidden Door 2022 welcomes post punk electronic group Warmduscher on the Outdoor Stage, with genre-hopping dance band PVA plus SHE and Benefits indoors. An exclusive new collaboration with Post Coal Prom Queen will light up the Central Chamber for one last time, whilst in the Basement, we’ve got women and non-binary DJ collective SISU dropping tunes all day, with Aphid (Miss World), Yasmeen, Noemié, Soraya and ona:v. The Pianodrome welcomes dance from Nomoss and spoken word from Victoria McNulty, T Person, T.S Idiot and Oliver Robertson before we welcome Midi Paul and The Reverse Engineer to play us out.
