5 reasons to eat at Hidden Door 2016

We love a scran here at Hidden Door. Every year we somehow convince Edinburgh’s finest to join us and delight our taste buds, this year is no different! We’ve laid the charm on thick and we are bursting with excitement to announce this year’s food vendors! Here’s our five reasons why you should be eating at Hidden Door Festival 2016 (apologies in advance for the many food puns):

Harajuku Kitchen

10 Gillespie Place – Edinburgh

Harajuku Kitchen are well known here in Edinburgh for their gyosas. Infact if you’re walking in Stockbridge on a Sunday you can see the queue in the market square! Their aim is to provide wholesome Japanese food, made with passion for authenticity and originality and boy do they nail it! They joined us last year in the courtyard and we couldn’t be happier that they’re back again.

Fresh Revolution

Fresh Revolution have a simple mantra Grow it- Cook it- Love it and believe us you will! They are new to the Edinburgh street food scene bringing delicious, inspiring and 100% Scottish sourced food to the masses. We’re excited to have them joining us, our mouths are watering at the thought!

Ròst

Ròst serves the best of local and Scottish produce, of course! Their creative menu is full of sliders, home cured meats, game, fish, salads filled with wild foods, basically everything tasty you can think of. They’re a hot topic in the Edinburgh food circles at the moment so we’re stoked (get it) to have them!

Wild Rover Food

Wild Rover are back again! Seasonal, scrumptious and sustainable that’s the name of their game! They were such an incredible hit with the Hidden Door crowds, we couldn’t leave duo Cat and Rob out. They’ll be filling our bellies with wild meats, delicious vegan and vegetarian food served with a side of excellent patter.

Edin-Burgers

We love a good burger, who doesn’t? We don’t think there’s a better way to enjoy the original meat filled sandwich than with Edin-Burger. Gluten free, additive free, locally sourced and Scottish reared, Edin-Burger are more than just beef and a bun. They’re mouth watering, rich in flavour and what we love most ethical!

From 27 May – 4 June 2016 Hidden Door will return to the amazing disused street lighting depot behind Kings Stables Road in Edinburgh. Click here for ticket info
