We’re on site at The Paper Factory this morning and it’s a beautiful snowy scene – lovely for photos, not so great for running an event.
We have decided to postpone opening until 3pm today, when the weather is due to have improved significantly. This will ensure we can get our volunteers and crew safely on site and ready to receive visitors.
At this stage we don’t anticipate any disruption to this evening’s event, but we would again remind everyone to dress warm – the Paper Factory is chilly. Nothing we can’t handle, right? But bring some layers and take advantage of the hot food and drinks we have available.
Public transport appears to be mostly unaffected too – here’s a reminder of how to get here.
Unrelated to the weather, unfortunately Witch Fever have had to cancel tonight’s performance. Thankfully we have lined up the brilliant Glasgow trio Brenda. They’ve created a name for themselves in Glasgow with their energetic sets described as the type that “end up seared onto your brain after a single viewing” with their “impudent, inventive and extremely DIY punk-pop” (The Scotsman).
The combination of dreamy synths, witty lyrics and joint vocals is infectious – Brenda could well be your new favourite band after tonight!
