SALTYDOLLS is an exciting Edinburgh based theatre company, born out of the galvanising creative partnership of theatre makers and single mothers Estlin Love and Fiona Oliver-Larkin. Our work focuses on the voices of women, single mothers and the creation of explicitly feminist theatre.

Estlin’s work is particularly focused on marginalised voices having worked as a stripper for ten years, with the resultant stigma affecting her work and family. Fiona’s work, both as an anthropologist and as an artist is dedicated to the search for a post patriarchal world. As single mothers, both women have experienced barriers due to their role as primary caregivers.

Both believe in the importance of prioritising women’s voices, particularly those from marginalised backgrounds as they are often the first to face hardship, and hurdles when producing art.
