CLOUDS Harp Quartet

Clouds is a uniquely original harp quartet; their genre-defying, original music astonishes audiences and challenges traditional stereotypes of the harp.

Formed in 2008, Elfair Grug Dyer, Rebecca Mills, Esther Swift and Angelina Warburton studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and  are all established soloists, chamber and orchestral musicians in their own right.

Clouds Harp Quartet have been making new music together for the past ten years. The award-winning quartet started as four friends from music college and has now grown into one of the most respected and ground-breaking harp ensembles in the world.

“Esther’s music is not just pretty tinkling harp strings – from tiny, almost inaudible sounds to huge crescendos; lilting folky rhythms to jagged syncopation – she makes the 188 harp strings speak and sing… “
