Hidden Door

Bikini Body

Drawing influence from acts such as ESG, Viagra Boys, Squid and Dry Cleaning, frontwoman Vicky Kavanagh’s obnoxious vocal style is indicative of Bush Tetras and X-Ray Spex.

The Edinburgh four-piece came together in 2019, with Kyle Peterson (bass) and Kavanagh bonding over post-punk (and psy-trance) at work before Kavanagh drunkenly revealed her writing at the pub, prompting a snap decision to form a band. They did just that, recruiting Josh Booker (guitar) and Dan O’Gorman (drums).

There’s a whole heap of heart and unpretentious good times to be had with this young band.
