Applications open to join our Board of Trustees

We’re currently looking for folk from a range of backgrounds to join our Hidden Door board. If you have a passion for supporting artists and enjoy the arts, we’d love to hear from you! If you’d like to know more, have a look at the role description below.

Board Trustee

Hidden Door is a volunteer-run charity that operates an annual multi-arts festival in a disused space in Edinburgh. We are now looking for individuals to join our Board of Trustees.

The role of our Board of Trustees is to support the work of the festival and its team of volunteers and ensure strategic oversight of its events and activities. You don’t need to have previous board level experience, but you do need to have a passion for access to the arts and events. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience of any of the following:

To apply, please send us either a CV and short statement, or a 2-4 minute video (taken on your phone is fine!) by the 30th September, to hello@hiddendoorarts.org explaining why you are interested in working with us and what you feel you will bring to the organisation.

We want to also encourage applications from people who identify as non-binary and genderqueer folk, neurodiverse and disabled, people from BAME backgrounds, people from the queer community, people from working-class backgrounds, and people from all religious backgrounds.

Board positions are not paid, but we will reimburse reasonable expenses to allow you to participate.
